Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

I happened to have about a half cup of leftover pumpkin puree after I made some pumpkin cheesecake squares and it turned out to be the PERFECT amount to go into my pumpkin spice smoothie.   The kids slurped down every last bit of their smoothies ... I got to check off a new vegetable on my "Kid's Veggie To-Do List"... and they finally understand that pumpkins are for far more than just carving a scary face into!!

Ingredients:

1 /2 cup pumpkin puree
1 small banana
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
1/4 cup apple juice or milk
1-2 tablespoons ground flax seed (optional)
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
dash nutmeg

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together in a blender, pour and serve.

YUM!!
